Townsville‘s annual market

Held in the beautiful Anderson Park was a great success, especially for our Townsville Writer’s &Publisher’s Centre and the authors selling from their tables. Unfortunately I was so busy that I couldn’t escape to visit other sites, but there were smiles abounding. I t was a fabulous North Queensland ‘winter’ day and our site was under a huge tree near the picturesque ponds. I arrived early before there were too many people working on putting up their marquees and was delighted to spot Under a nearby tree, with tropical leaf plants around it’s trunk, a couple of beautiful curlews trying to disappear by standing preternaturally still. I managed to snap a few pics but they didn’t like me being so close so ran around the trunk anytime I moved to try for a better shot.

Sorry, I can’t find a way to cut back on the white space.

Now where was I when I got distracted — ah yes, Anderson Park. the TWPC marquee drew in all sorts of interesting and interested people, a film maker, an African wild-life hunter, a doctor wanting to write and ex-police inspector; plus many general enquiries.

I am very happy to report that I sold 20 books, most of them from the Beaufort’s Landing murder mystery series (in fact, I sold out of the stock of ‘Escape to Danger’ I had brought along) a couple of psychological thrillers, and the short story collection, ‘Death Danger and Dark Dreams’.

All available on line at: Books By Celebration Publishing

and, of course, Amazon and Smashwords.

In other news, I am not getting too far with the next novel but I am working on it.

Life is busy, so ‘bye for now ‘Ciao’…
